We have been very busy this summer, hence the newsletter being published slightly later than anticipated!
COMPETITION STUFF
Thank you to everyone who participated to our
in-house dressage competitions on
13th April 2009 and
25th May 2009.
We plan to organise more events as they have been a great success and will let you know the dates in due course.
Charlie had numerous successes at Prix St George and above level throughout the season culminating in qualifying for the dressage Nationals with Abira, Lady Evans's Merlin Nemorensis, Mrs Mannings Aljano II and Don Dino.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Justine Sole qualified her horse Alfie for Elementary Open 6 years old Shearwater Championships and 6 years old National and International Hickstead. Justine also qualified with Don Lumiere owned by Klara Hegedus for the British Dressage Championship at Novice Level.
Leanne Brown who competed on Armagnac, a 4 year old stallion owned jointly by Stephen and Teresa Day and Pammy Hutton. The judges said "this is a lovely horse that dances"
Beth Miller has been selected with her horse Finley to compete in the BYRDS home International Competition.
Amadeus has qualified for Regionals at Inter I and Blue qualified with both Advanced Medium and Prix Saint George.
Amanti placed at Hartpury at Grand Prix.

THE TALLANDER GIRLS
A group of six ladies met through the British Dressage Forum and decided to have a short Instructional break at the beginning of June with a mixture of lessons. They all wore a specially designed T-shirt and called themselves the Tallander Girls.
During their stay, they were also treated to a demo by Pammy and Charlie and a lecture on competition turn out by Ali Mills.
We hope to see them all again soon and welcome any other groups in the future!

Welcome to -
Hilary Hughes BHSI, who returns to us as an instructor at the end of September with her horse Sylvester.
Cheryl Mace who has joined us as our new receptionist on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Don Romeo, belong to Thekla & Jessica Blackmore and came from Australia.
Liberty belongs to Penny Manning is a 9 years old Hanoverian competing at Prix Saint George level.
Don Dino also belongs to Penny Manning, is a 5 years old Hanoverian and competes in Young Horse classes.
Revel, belongs to Carolyn Wofford, is a 10 year old all rounder who has competed side saddle at national level with his owner.
Biscuit and Sam, belong to Mandy and Tess Harvood and have recently moved from Australia.
Stanley, belongs to Will Phillips, an ex-eventer looking for a quieter life
Maisey, belongs to Amy Benton, a novice eventer, also looking for a quieter life.
Good bye to-
Louise Hewitson who left us in June. However, Louise will still cover the reception 3 Saturdays a month.
Aisling McInerney who left early August and is setting up as a free lance instructor.
Becky Lee-Wolfe who left end of August.
Li-Yu Kuo who has been a student with us since 2006. He is returning to Malaysia with his mare "Noodles". We wish him the best of luck in the future.
Jack (who belongs to Ali Mills) is gone to retire to Yorkshire with Kate Curwen-Reed. Check him out on Facebook!
